Sadly, when a water loss occurs some of your belongings may get contaminated or need to be removed in order to properly remediate & repair the area.
A contents project manager will perform a walk through with the homeowner to assess the affected areas and the need for a pack out. The contents project manager will also go over the option for Lanier Home Restoration to do the repairs for the homeowner, if not already scheduled.
We are a one stop shop and happy to assist homeowners with a smooth process from the initial pack-out to finalizing the repairs!
Lanier Home Restoration will inventory and carefully pack all contents. Each box will be tagged and labeled with the items it holds. All furniture will be tagged and blanketed for protection.
Lanier Home does not remove any of the following items from the property: Plants, liquids, guns, ammo, jewelry, fine arts, sentimental items, medication, electronics.
Any non-salvageable contents will be left on site for the insurance adjuster to assess, unless the adjuster advises otherwise. If Lanier Home is asked to remove non-salvageable contents, the contents project manager will create a non-salvageable inventory list, and Lanier Home will dispose of contents accordingly. Homeowner is responsible for any damaged/non-salvageable contents.
Lanier Home Restoration will deliver, carefully unpack contents, and place items back in their original location once work is complete and the pack out/move back is approved by the insurance adjuster. If a complete move back is not approved by the insurance adjuster, Lanier Home Restoration will deliver contents and place boxes in their designated rooms for the homeowner to unpack.
